I knew I wanted to convey my ideas by using a story but I wanted to start generating a 'feel' to the publication. I began creating textual backgrounds by using the method of mono-printing which I then scanned into the computer and edited on photoshop muting the colours slightly and softening the contrast and edges. I started playing with font briefly before working on the content of the story.
